Biography:

We use unique ‘patented’ electronic musical instruments specifically designed and built by ourselves. These include Tubul, E-saw, Bandit, Mermi, Form Box, EMF + other machinations and gadgets. We play for ‘live’ performance situation, seeking to enhance sensory experience of music through exploitation of physical interaction, sound and movement.

We have only ever played two gigs. Musica Skroc, Thursday 31 October, 1996 at the Grapes, Trippet Lane, Sheffield and Atavistic Ratchets, Saturday 16 June 2001 at Lewisham Art house. Lewisham Way London. The second gig generating unexpected and intense interest and excitement from the audience.

We have never recorded together.

We have won awards at national and international level for other work and related commissions for sound and music.

Further images of the artists and instruments can be made available and a simple recording is available of the second gig ‘Act 2’, Atavistic Ratchets on this CD, with event flier enclosed.

A short improvisation by AKA. Brown Sierra (Pia Gambardella and Paddy Collins) is also included on the CD.
